Hamilton Esports has been LAUSD’s flagship competitive gaming program since 2022.
We play to win, and have a fun time doing it!
We treat esports the way LAUSD treats varsity sports: with structure, coaching, and accountability. Our players go through tryouts, practice together and follow a competition schedule.
Off the screen, members learn team management, technical expertise and other career-relevant skills acquired through their experience in the lab.
The result: students who compete at the highest amateur level, and graduate ready for any 4-year program — STEM, media, business, anywhere.
“As Hamilton alum, we never had a program like this.” Came back as staff and built one — brick by brick! The renovated lab, the sponsorships, the roster, the trophies and The Family!
This is the type of job that doesn’t feel like one.

In the lab
A timeline of championship runs across the years.
Most of our students excel in their classes and maintain strong attendance — and our alumni move on to accredited 4-year universities. Esports doesn’t pull from grades; it pushes them.
Most competitive games already track player ranks in-game and on sites like Tracker Network — so we don’t run traditional tryouts.
If you above our team’s cutoff, you’re signed. Just be good at the game, and get good grades!
Hop into our server to see roster openings and announcements for every title we field.
Register your school email in the Discord to verify your account.
We check your in-game rank / match history.
Traditional tryouts for games like Smash Bros.
Make the cutoff, and your on the team.
